Job summary

The Panel seeks an IT Director - Banking Payments Technology & Agile Delivery to lead a large payments technology team at a leading Irish financial institution. You will own the technical roadmap, delivery governance and agile transformation.

The role requires 10+ years in technology leadership with 5+ years in payments, hands-on experience with SEPA, SWIFT, and ISO 20022, and a track record of delivering end-to-end platform projects at director level.

Qualifications

10+ years of senior technology leadership with 5+ years in payments within a regulated bank.
Experience transitioning from traditional delivery to Tribe and Agile operating model.
Deep hands-on knowledge of electronic payment schemes — SEPA, SEPA Instant, SWIFT, BACS, Faster Payments, CHAPS, ISO 20022.

Responsibilities

Set and own the payments technology roadmap aligned to business and enterprise strategy.
Lead end-to-end delivery across payment platforms.
Own the technology budget and drive value realisation across the function.
Lead and develop Tech Leads across cross-functional Agile squads.
Act as the senior technology voice at Director and Board level.
Manage third-party vendor relationships and ensure platform quality and resilience.
Drive risk, compliance and operational resilience across the payments estate.
