Job summary

The Panel in Dublin is seeking a Technical Lead to shape and optimise payment capabilities across real-time, account-to-account and cross-border rails. You will collaborate with engineering teams and external partners to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that move money efficiently and securely.

You will own the technical delivery, assess trade-offs, and drive performance, monitoring metrics and compliance with non-functional requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a payments product, technical product or delivery lead role.
• Strong understanding of payment ecosystems and payment processing.
• Hands-on exposure to microservices, Java, Message Broker and MQ.
• Experience with APIs and technical product delivery.
• Knowledge of Faster Payments, SEPA and SWIFT.
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).

Responsibilities

• Drive the development and optimisation of core payment capabilities across real-time, account-to-account and cross-border rails
• Work closely with engineering teams to deliver product enhancements and ensure solutions are scalable and reliable
• Monitor payment performance, authorisation rates, settlement and reconciliation processes
• Define and track adherence to non-functional requirements
• Make technical trade-off decisions and translate requirements into clear, deliverable work
• Partner with senior stakeholders and present progress to leadership
