Job summary

Version 1 is seeking a PL/SQL Developer with 4+ years of Oracle PL/SQL experience to join its Public Sector & Utilities (Ireland) team. You’ll work with product owners, cross-functional teams and QA to deliver high-quality solutions, including packages and reports, while advising on Oracle features and best practices.

Knowledge of APEX/OAP and spatial extensions is beneficial. Flexible/remote working options and a strong benefits package support career growth.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ Oracle PL/SQL Developer experience.
• Good understanding of code version management and code promotion practices in an enterprise environment.
• Good knowledge of source control tools.
• Effective communication (written and oral), interpersonal, analytical and organisational skills.
• Experience with effort estimation and requirements gathering.
• Database tuning and performance monitoring skills.
• Understanding of data modelling and database design.
• Familiarity with preparing and maintaining technical documentation.
• Completion of an Oracle Professional Certification.
• Familiarity with unit testing and continuous integration.
• Knowledge of APEX and OAP.

Responsibilities

• Managing project source code and documentation.
• Developing and maintaining packages for background processing and reports.
• Developing and maintaining reports using PL/SQL, OAP and APEX.
• Providing ad hoc reports using SQL and PL/SQL.
• Analysing and resolving database issues.
• Advising on Oracle features and best practices.
