Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Lead Oracle DBA to manage a team of Database Administrators and Data Engineers in Ireland. You will work with the Operations Director on priorities, scheduling, resource planning, and workload management while providing coaching and mentorship.

You will own maintenance, tuning, disaster recovery, and capacity planning across on‑premises and cloud environments, write SQL/PLSQL scripts, and collaborate across Development, Operations and Support to ensure

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience leading and developing technical team members.
8+ years’ commercial Oracle DBA experience covering database design, development and performance.
Hands-on Oracle database configuration and administration.
Experience with Oracle 11g or later across Windows and Linux/Unix environments.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate Database Administrators and Data Engineers.
Provide day-to-day line management, performance management, development, coaching.
Own and manage knowledge-transfer framework.
Ensure database reliability, availability, performance, and service quality.
Diagnose performance issues and implement solutions.
