Oracle Database Administrator | Dublin | Up to £550 p/d |

SR2 are supporting a growing global consulting partner who expanded into the UK earlier this year and have recently secured a major new project. As part of the continued growth of their team, they are now looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join the project in Dublin.

This is an opportunity to work within a large-scale, business-critical Oracle environment, supporting a complex database estate and working hands-on with Oracle 19c, RAC, Clusterware and RHEL.

They are looking for someone with extensive experience as a Oracle DBA who is comfortable working in production environments and wants to continue developing their expertise across high availability, disaster recovery, performance and large-scale database infrastructure.

The Role

You will work as part of an experienced database team responsible for maintaining the performance, availability and reliability of a complex Oracle estate.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Working with Oracle RAC and Clusterware environments
• Supporting backup, recovery and disaster recovery processes
• Monitoring and troubleshooting database performanceAssisting with Oracle upgrades and patching
• Supporting highly available production environments
• Working alongside development teams across development, testing and production
• Supporting database cloning using RMAN and SAN-based techniques
• Troubleshooting PL/SQL, Python and Java within Oracle environments
• Working with large-scale Oracle databases
• Supporting GIS database technologies including Oracle Spatial & Graph, ArcGIS and GeoServer

What We're Looking For

• 4–6 years of Oracle DBA experience
• Knowledge of Oracle 19c
• Experience with Oracle RAC and/or Clusterware
• Strong Linux/RHEL knowledge
• Backup, recovery and disaster recovery experience
• Database monitoring, troubleshooting and performance tuning skills

This will be a 6 month initial contract but there is scope to extend up to 2 years.

Experience with Oracle Spatial, ArcGIS, GeoServer, RMAN or large-scale database environments would be particularly beneficial.
