Aviva plc in Ireland seeks a Senior Operational and Change Risk Manager on a fixed-term contract until circa July 2027 to provide independent oversight and challenge across a broad portfolio of business transformation initiatives. You will influence senior stakeholders and promote a strong risk culture while supporting positive customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in operational risk, change risk, change management or risk and controls roles within financial services.
• Strong ability to identify key risks and influence senior stakeholders.
• Understanding of change governance, risk and control assessment, operational resilience, regulatory change, technology risk and data risk.
• Awareness of AI and evolving regulatory landscape affecting financial services.
• Excellent analytical, written and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-line oversight and challenge across Aviva Life & Pensions Ireland's transformation portfolio, focusing on initiatives with the greatest operational, regulatory, customer and delivery risk.
• Review and challenge key change governance activities including risk assessments, control frameworks, project governance, resource plans, testing approaches and implementation decisions.
• Evaluate operational, technology, data, third-party, resilience and AI-related risks within change programmes, engaging specialist risk colleagues where appropriate.
• Support governance forums and decision-making through clear risk opinions, insightful reporting, action tracking and timely escalation of material risks and concerns.
• Contribute to wider Operational Risk activities, including Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) oversight, while building strong partnerships across Transformation, Compliance, Group Risk and other assurance functions.
