Job summary

Camden Recruitment Partners is partnering with a leading global asset manager to appoint a Risk Manager in Dublin. This Dublin-based role sits in the Risk function and offers broad exposure across operations, investments, technology and regulatory change, with visibility to senior stakeholders and Boards.

Reporting to the Senior Risk Manager, EMEA, you will provide independent risk oversight, lead RCSAs and assurance activities, conduct control testing, and drive remediation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a second-line operational risk role within financial services.
• Strong governance, controls and risk framework knowledge.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and assurance activities.
• Experience with incidents, issues, and remediation programmes.
• Experience using risk data to identify themes and trends.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management, including Board reporting.

I'm partnering with a leading global asset manager to appoint a Risk Manager within its Dublin-based Risk function. Reporting to the Senior Risk Manager, EMEA, you'll work closely with senior stakeholders, governance committees, and Boards, providing independent challenge, practical risk advice, and meaningful insight that helps drive informed business decisions. The role offers broad exposure across operations, investments, technology, and regulatory change, making it an ideal move for someone looking to further develop their career in a high-profile second-line position.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Provide independent oversight and challenge of operational risks and controls across the business.
• Lead Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), risk reviews, thematic assessments, and assurance activities.
• Conduct control testing and evaluate the effectiveness of key controls.
• Oversee operational incidents, root-cause analysis, issue management, and remediation tracking.
• Produce insightful management information and risk reporting for senior leadership and Boards.
• Partner with business stakeholders on regulatory initiatives, projects, business change, and new product developments.
• Advise on risk management best practice, control enhancements, and process improvement opportunities.
• Support the ongoing development and enhancement of the operational risk framework and risk culture.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in a second-line operational risk role within financial services.
• Strong understanding of operational risk frameworks, governance, and controls.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, control reviews, and assurance activities.
• Proven ability to manage incidents, issues, and remediation programmes.
• Experience using GRC systems and analysing risk data to identify emerging themes and trends.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with confidence engaging and influencing senior leaders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including Board-level reporting.

Highly Desirable:

• Asset management, investment management, or funds industry experience.
• Exposure to areas such as DORA, operational resilience, outsourcing, ICT risk, ICARA, Consumer Duty, or CASS.
• Experience developing KRIs, risk appetite metrics, and risk reporting frameworks.
• Professional qualifications in Risk, Audit, Compliance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
