Job summary

Aviva plc is seeking a qualified assurance professional to deliver governance, risk and control reviews across the business. You will turn analysis into insights, conclusions and practical recommendations, working with the Enterprise Assurance team and a range of stakeholders.

You will plan, execute and report assurance activities, providing independent challenge and professional judgement to strengthen customer, risk and regulatory outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in assurance, internal audit, risk, controls, governance or related oversight function.
• Strong ability to plan and deliver reviews, assess evidence and reach balanced conclusions.
• Excellent analytical skills to identify key themes and risks.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management to influence at all levels.
• Knowledge of life and pensions operations or Three Lines of Defence is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver assurance reviews from scoping to reporting and follow-up.
• Assess governance, controls, risk management and management actions for design and effectiveness.
• Analyze evidence to identify weaknesses, risks, trends and improvement opportunities.
• Produce clear, evidence-based findings with robust audit trails and actionable recommendations.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and contribute to assurance planning and best practices.
