Job summary

John Sisk & Son is seeking a General Site Supervisor to oversee multiple sections of a construction site in Ireland. You will coordinate Section Site Supervisors and Assistants to deliver works safely, on time and to quality standards, under the direction of the Site Manager.

You will drive safety, manage resources, and maintain site records while ensuring compliance with HSEQS and project programs. This role emphasizes leadership, teamwork and on-site delivery in a family-owned, globally

Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising construction teams on medium to large scale projects.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple site teams.
• Knowledge of construction methods, trades and codes of practice.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to engage site teams and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities across multiple sections of the site.
• Lead Section Site Supervisors and Assistant Site Supervisors to deliver works in line with programme, cost and quality targets.
• Monitor the performance of subcontractors and workforce to ensure compliance with contract specifications and company standards.
• Implement and maintain health, safety, environmental and quality management practices on site.
• Ensure site records, including daily logs, inspection reports, and material records, are accurate and up to date.
• Coordinate with Site Manager to allocate resources and prioritise work effectively.
• Identify operational risks, report issues and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Participate in site briefings, toolbox talks, and coordination meetings.
• Mentor junior site staff and contribute to the development of team capability.
• Support the Site Manager in maintaining site discipline, productivity and adherence to company culture.
