Job summary

John Sisk & Son is seeking a Site Manager for its Life Science team in Kildare. You will lead day-to-day site operations, supervise multi-level teams, and ensure safe, on-time delivery within budget while upholding stringent HSEQS standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day construction activities on site to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
• Supervise Site Agents and Supervisors, providing leadership and direction on all operational matters.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental and quality standards on site.
• Plan and coordinate activities to maintain programme objectives with the Operations Manager.
• Monitor progress and performance of sub-contractors and suppliers against contract requirements.
• Maintain site records including Temporary Works Registers, diaries, quality docs and HSEQS logs.
• Identify operational risks and escalate to senior management when needed.
• Lead site briefings and toolbox talks to communicate priorities and safety requirements.
• Support cost control through efficient use of resources and materials.

Overview

We are seeking a Site Manager to join our Life Science team in Kildare.

The Site Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating site operations on assigned projects under the direction of the Operations Manager. Ensures safe, timely and cost-effective delivery of construction works, maintaining quality and compliance with all HSEQS standards. Leads site teams including Site Agents, General Site Supervisors, Section Site Supervisors and Assistant Site Supervisors to achieve project objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day construction activities on site to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget

• Supervise Site Agents, General Site Supervisors and Section Site Supervisors, providing leadership and direction on all operational matters

• Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental and quality standards in line with company procedures

• Plan and coordinate the sequence of activities on site, liaising with the Operations Manager and Senior Site Manager to maintain programme objectives

• Monitor progress and performance of sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with contract requirements and project standards

• Maintain comprehensive site records including Temporary Works Registers, daily diaries, quality documentation and HSEQS logs

• Identify operational risks and elevate as required to Operations Manager or Senior Site Manager

• Lead site briefings, toolbox talks and coordination meetings to communicate priorities, tasks and safety requirements

• Assist in cost control by supporting the site and project teams in efficient use of resources and materials

• Mentor and develop junior site staff to build capability and maintain a high-performance culture

Experience

• Proven experience in site management across medium to large-scale projects

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise multi-level site teams

• Knowledge of subcontractor management and industrial relations

• Ability to make informed decisions under pressure to maintain programme and operational performance

• Comprehensive understanding of construction methods, trade requirements and codes of practice

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, monitor and prioritise site activities
• Effective communication skills to engage with colleagues, sub-contractors and project teams
• Knowledge of health, safety, environmental and quality management practices

Qualifications

Required
