Job summary

Senior Network Engineer - Enterprise Switching

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise network environment. This is a hands-on position with a strong focus on managing, upgrading and modernising enterprise switching infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, configure and upgrade large-scale enterprise switch environments.
• Deliver switch upgrades, refreshes, migrations and replacements across enterprise sites.
• Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, including VLANs, STP, PortChannel, VRRP/MC-LAG, OSPF and BGP.
• Manage and support enterprise Wireless Access Points and Wireless Controllers.
• Troubleshoot complex network incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Use Python, Ansible and/or REST APIs to automate network configuration and operational tasks.
• Support network changes, deployments and infrastructure improvement initiatives.

Essential Requirements

• CCNP certification - mandatory.
• 5+ years' hands-on Network Engineering experience.
• Proven experience managing and upgrading switches within large enterprise environments.
• Strong Layer 2/Layer 3 switching and routing expertise.
• Strong experience with enterprise networking technologies such as Cisco, Dell, Arista or Juniper.
• Experience delivering switch upgrades, migrations, refreshes or large-scale network changes.
• Strong troubleshooting knowledge across TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and network security.

Experience with Python, Ansible, REST APIs/network automation and enterprise wireless infrastructure is highly desirable.

This is an on-site position and requires a hands-on engineer with strong enterprise switching experience.
