Responsibilities

• Support Juniper and Aruba network/security environments.
• Provide first and second level incident support.
• Incident management from initial engagement to resolution per SLA.
• Escalate issues to senior team members and vendor partners.
• Perform daily health checks and compile technical reports.
• Take ownership for management of technical environments including patching.
• Ensure RMM tools operate securely and efficiently.
• Suggest improvements for NSOC and Managed Services.

Job description

We're seeking a Network Support Engineer to join a renowned IT services and digital infrastructure company. This is an exciting role for any person looking to continue a career in networking and security technologies. It will involve interaction with some of the country's leading technical architects and design engineers in the Aruba Clearpass and Juniper arenas.

What you’ll be doing

• Support customers' Juniper and Aruba network / security environments
• Provide first and second level support for all reported incidents
• Incident management from initial customer engagement to resolution ensuring adherence to SLA's. Troubleshooting of such incidents utilizing vendor partners for technical assistance and other team members.
• Escalation of issues to more senior team members and vendor partners
• Perform daily health checks on specific customer networks and formulate technical reports for customer review
• Take ownership for management of these technical environments. Patch management, preventative maintenance of internal IT infrastructure and troubleshooting any infrastructure incidents
• Ensure all managed services RMM tools are operating correctly and efficiently is a secure configuration
• Offer opinion on the improvement and enhancement of the Managed Service and NSOC environments

Desirable Qualifications

• Engineering or related bachelor's degree.
• Qualifications must be in Aruba Clearpass and other technical qualifications in major vendor technologies such as JNCIA or JNCIP.
• Previous experience working in a NOC/NSOC or call centre environment.
