Job summary

Solas IT Recruitment is seeking an Infrastructure Solutions Engineer in Dublin South to deliver and support LAN, WAN, switching and wireless infrastructure for enterprise environments.

We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with practical experience supporting and implementing enterprise network environments, particularly across:

• LAN, WAN and WLAN environments
• Routing and switching
• Network security and firewalls
• Network monitoring and management
• Incident troubleshooting and resolution
• Customer-facing technical support

Experience with technologies from vendors such as Extreme Networks, Arista, Fortinet, Ruckus or similar enterprise networking platforms would be particularly relevant.

You should have strong troubleshooting skills and be comfortable taking ownership of technical issues through to resolution.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will work across both customer projects and ongoing managed-service environments, with responsibilities including:

• Delivering and supporting LAN, WAN, switching and wireless infrastructure projects.
• Installing, configuring and maintaining enterprise networking technologies.
• Supporting customer network, wireless and security environments.
• Diagnosing and resolving first and second-line networking incidents.
• Managing technical issues from initial investigation through to successful resolution.
• Working with senior engineers and vendor technical support teams on more complex problems.
• Carrying out regular network health checks and identifying potential performance or reliability issues.
• Producing technical reports and recommendations following customer network reviews.
• Managing patching, preventative maintenance and configuration changes across supported environments.
• Monitoring customer infrastructure through RMM and network-management platforms.
• Ensuring incidents are documented and managed in line with agreed SLAs and ITIL processes.
• Providing customers with clear technical updates throughout the incident lifecycle.
• Contributing ideas around improving network operations, project delivery and support processes.
• Participating in an on-call support rota where required.
