Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Senior Medical Director with broad strategic medical leadership to guide scientific input across therapies and sponsor engagements. You will steer early customer interactions, contribute to RFP responses and lead expert input throughout the development lifecycle.

The role requires a proven track record in pharma or CRO settings, an MD, and board certification in Cardiology, Endocrinology or Nephrology. Travel up to 20% domestically or internationally may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• Exceptional business knowledge to drive results for the organization.
• At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a CRO setting with obesity expertise.

Responsibilities

• Work independently of the therapeutic area head.
• Demonstrate independence in strategic proposal development with the proposal team.
• Participate in client proposal bid defense meetings as a leader, medical director and subject matter expert.
• Act as consultant throughout the R&D life cycle and the duration of clinical trials; and/or as a standalone independent customer solution.
• Formulate clinical development plans and lead the strategic direction of the Center of Excellence.
