Job summary

Glanua Limited is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator to join the pre-construction team based in Galway. You will lead tender costings for major water and wastewater projects, drawing on deep mechanical engineering knowledge and rigorous risk assessment.

Working with design, project management and procurement, you will shape competitive, buildable proposals and provide pricing guidance through early tender stages, ensuring governance and commercial integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of mechanical estimating experience in water/wastewater or related infrastructure.
• Proven track record in developing accurate, competitive mechanical estimates for complex treatment plants.
• Experience with public utility clients, including Uisce Éireann or UK water companies, is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed, accurate mechanical estimates from drawings, specs and tender docs.
• Assess constructability, installation methods, materials, and opportunities for innovation.
• Provide early-stage cost guidance to support optioneering and value for money.
• Ensure governance, risk management and robust commercial decision making.
