Job summary

Glanua in Ireland is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team responsible for mechanical design across water and wastewater projects. You will contribute from site surveys through to detailed design, procurement specs and construction drawings, while supporting project delivery and commissioning activities.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience, a Level 7 qualification, and strong collaboration, analysis and communication skills.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical design within construction or process industries.
Level 7 qualification including Diploma or Ordinary Bachelor Degree.
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and liaise with suppliers.
Willingness to travel within UK and Ireland as required.

Responsibilities

Report to Senior / Lead Mechanical Design Engineer.
Produce design deliverables for water, wastewater and process treatment plants.
Assist in all aspects of mechanical design from site surveys to detailed design and tender pricing.
Produce procurement specifications for mechanical equipment and detailed design construction drawings.
Project manage third party designs and support installation and commissioning teams.
Liaise with subcontractors / suppliers and work as part of a team to deliver projects.
