Job summary

Glanua Limited in Ballincollig, Co. Cork, Ireland is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a one-team culture and contribute to a portfolio of water and process treatment projects under the guidance of the Senior/Lead Mechanical Design Engineer.

You will assist in all mechanical design aspects from site surveys to optioneering, feasibility studies, detailed design and tender pricing, producing procurement specifications and construction drawings, while liaising with subcontractors and

Qualifications

• Must comply with health & safety in design and the CDM regs.
• Experience with water/wastewater processes layouts and pumping systems.
• Strong communication with other engineering disciplines and project teams.
• Able to produce clear mechanical design deliverables across all design stages.
• Willing to develop technical knowledge networks.
• Driven to stay updated on current and emerging technical solutions.
• Flexibility to travel within the UK and Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Senior/Lead Mechanical Design Engineer.
• Produce design deliverables for water, wastewater and process plants as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Assist in all mechanical design aspects from site surveys, optioneering, feasibility studies, detailed design and tender pricing.
• Produce procurement specifications and detailed construction drawings.
• Project manage third party designs and support installation/commissioning teams; liaise with subcontractors.
• Support Design Change Control and ensure client/technical requirements are met.
