Job summary

Weltec Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Construction Manager to lead the delivery of commercial and industrial mechanical works at a prominent semiconductor client site in Leixlip. You will oversee site teams, coordinate with project managers and clients, and ensure safe, on-time execution from start to finish.

The role requires proven leadership, a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or construction management role, and experience with RAMS and permit-to-work systems.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification with a National Craft Certificate or relevant third level qualification.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory, foreman, or construction management role.
• Proven leadership with a focus on safety and quality; experience with RAMS and permit-to-work systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems across sites.
• Manage on-site trades, apprentices, and subcontractors for safe, quality, and timely delivery.
• Review drawings, specs and work scopes; coordinate with project managers, clients and other trades.

Senior Mechanical Construction Manager

Role / Requirements:

As we continue to grow and expand our client base, we are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to lead the delivery of commercial and industrial mechanical projects based on a prominent semi-conductor client site in Leixlip.

This is a key leadership role responsible for managing site teams, coordinating with project stakeholders, and ensuring the successful execution of mechanical works from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the planning, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems across commercial and industrial sites


• Manage on-site trades apprentices, and subcontractors to ensure high-quality, safe, and timely project delivery.


• Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work scopes.


• Coordinate closely with project managers, clients, and other trades to ensure smooth site operations.


• Monitor project progress, address issues or delays, and maintain detailed site records and documentation.


• Responsible for implementation of the scope of work on construction/ fabrication, pre-commissioning


• Adhere to Weltec Safety, EHS and Quality Standards in line with relevant policies and procedures


• Management of Site Design and Construction processes


• Planning of all resources including labour, materials and sub-contractors


• Manage and drive the team to meet with all project requirements and deadlines


• Carry out inspections, testing, and quality control throughout the construction phase.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Trade qualified with a National Craft Certificate or relevant third level qualification.


• At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory, foreman, or construction management role.


• Proven leadership and team management skills with a focus on safety and quality.


• Experience working with RAMS, permit to work systems, and other safety documentation.


• IOSH Managing Safely or similar supervisory training is desirable.
