Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Vision in Limerick, Ireland, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to bolster manufacturing performance, process capability, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, highly automated and regulated environment.

You will provide engineering support across operations, troubleshooting issues, and delivering projects with compliant solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safe and efficient manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Process, Automation, or related Engineering field.
• Minimum of 4 years’ engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Ability to take ownership and deliver results in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment of manufacturing and automation solutions across assigned manufacturing areas.
• Design, installation, qualification, optimisation, and improvement of manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and controls.
• Provide troubleshooting support for process and equipment issues using structured problem-solving and data analysis.
• Partner with operations, quality, maintenance, validation, supply chain, and other engineering teams to implement robust and compliant manufacturing solutions.
• Identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives that enhance yield, reduce cost, increase capacity, and improve manufacturing performance.
• Lead or support technical projects from concept through implementation, ensuring clear execution and risk management.
• Ensure timely and effective completion of Quality System deliverables including CAPAs, non-conformances, audit actions, change controls, and associated technical documentation.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements are fully integrated into design, purchase, modification, and operation of new and existing manufacturing equipment.
• Support plant and engineering strategic initiatives by bringing technical expertise, urgency, and execution focus to critical business priorities.
• Champion a culture of EH&S excellence by ensuring all activities are carried out responsibly and in full compliance with site and company expectations.
