Job summary

Johnson & Johnson, located in Limerick, Ireland, is seeking a Senior Project / Process Automation Engineer to provide technical leadership in developing new and existing products and processes to drive manufacturing efficiency.

The role involves joining a team that delivers automated manufacturing solutions, adheres to EH&S policies, GAMP 5 methodology, and good engineering practice to meet business objectives. Extensive travel is expected globally.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical/process/chemical engineering (or similar) with 3+ years in medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with high-speed automation: vision systems, multi-axis motion control, machine controls, SCADA, MES, robotics.
• Strong communication and teamwork; experience with external suppliers; knowledge of GAMP 5 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support early lifecycle management of capital projects: risk mitigation, requirements, supplier selection and management, equipment design oversight, testing & installation.
• Maintain time, quality and cost performance on assigned projects.
• Collaborate in a highly skilled engineering team with travel to support the business.
