Major Irish Civil Engineering & MEICA Contractor is seeking a senior Mechanical & Electrical Estimator for water and wastewater projects in the Southwest. You will price live infrastructure upgrades and new-build pumping stations, coordinating with commercial and project teams to produce competitive tenders.

Strong Excel and estimating software skills are essential. Flexible Cork or Clare base with long-term career prospects in Ireland's water sector.

Competenze

• Proven experience in civil engineering and M&E estimating.
• Experience pricing upgrades to wastewater pumping stations and upgrades.
• Strong understanding of civil, mechanical and electrical project costs.
• Ability to prepare accurate, competitive tenders from enquiry to submission.
• Experience in Irish water and wastewater infrastructure sector.

Mansioni

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for civil and M&E works.
• Price upgrades and refurbishment works for wastewater pumping stations.
• Prepare estimates for new-build pumping stations and infrastructure.
• Review drawings, specs, and bills of quantities for tenders.
• Conduct material take-offs and cost assessments for labour, plant and equipment.
• Obtain quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Price mechanical equipment, pipework, valves, pumps and electrical works.
• Identify tender risks, opportunities and exclusions.
• Collaborate with engineering, commercial and operations teams on proposals.
• Manage multiple tenders and meet submission deadlines.
• Support clarifications, negotiations and handover to delivery teams.
