Specialist Civil Engineering and Water Infrastructure Contractor in Cork, Ireland, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead design coordination and project management on water infrastructure projects across Munster.

You will coordinate mechanical design, procurement and installation from concept through commissioning, ensuring designs meet specifications and project programmes. The role blends technical design with hands-on project delivery within a growing regional team.

Formación

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in mechanical design, project engineering or project management.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment, piping systems, pumps and installations.
• Experience coordinating design, procurement and site installation.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate mechanical design activities across water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Review mechanical drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
• Manage mechanical engineering packages from design through to installation and commissioning.
• Liaise with design consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and project delivery teams.
• Support procurement, equipment selection and technical evaluations.
• Monitor project progress, programme requirements and engineering deliverables.
• Resolve technical issues arising during design development and construction.
• Ensure mechanical installations comply with project specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
• Assist with testing, commissioning and final project handover.
