Job summary

Lex Consultancy in Dublin 2 is seeking a senior Learning & Development leader to shape the firm's talent, leadership and employee development strategy. You will work closely with senior leaders and HR to ensure L&D activity supports the wider organisation and outcomes.

You will lead a team of L&D professionals, overseeing Talent Development, Early Talent, Leadership Development and Employee Engagement, with a focus on AI-enabled learning and capabilities for the future of professional services.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a senior L&D role, ideally within professional services.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders, Partners and business leaders.
• Experience developing and delivering L&D strategies and programmes.
• Strong experience in leadership and talent development.
• An interest in AI and how it is changing professional services and the skills people need.
• Executive coaching qualification would be desirable.

• Develop and deliver the firm's L&D strategy with senior stakeholders.

The Role

This is a senior Learning & Development role within a professional services organisation, reporting to the Director of Learning & Development.

The role will help shape the firm's approach to talent, leadership and employee development. You will work closely with senior leaders and HR colleagues to understand business needs and make sure L&D activity supports the wider organisation.

You will lead a team of L&D professionals and have responsibility across Talent Development, Early Talent, Leadership Development and Employee Engagement.

A key part of the role will be looking at how the skills needed in professional services are changing, particularly as AI and new technology become a bigger part of how people work. You will help the firm understand these changes and develop the skills and capabilities needed for the future.

Key Responsibilities

Work with the Director of L&D and senior stakeholders to develop and deliver the firm's L&D strategy.

Lead activity across Talent Development, Early Talent, Leadership Development and Employee Engagement.

Work with Partners, senior leaders and HR to identify development needs and agree practical solutions.

Bring a good understanding of the professional services environment and the development needs of Senior individuals.

Lead the design and delivery of learning and leadership programmes that support business priorities.

Help identify the skills and capabilities the firm will need as the professional services environment changes.

Lead the L&D response to AI, helping employees understand and use AI effectively and responsibly in their work.

Look for ways to use AI, technology and data to improve learning, make L&D more efficient and reach more people.

Lead and develop the L&D team, creating a positive and collaborative working environment.

Support the firm's leadership development work and help strengthen leadership capability.

Review the impact of L&D activity and use feedback and data to improve what the team delivers.

The Person

We are looking for someone with:

Significant experience in a senior L&D role, ideally within professional services.

A good understanding of the people and development challenges within professional services.

Experience working with senior stakeholders, Partners and business leaders.

Experience developing and delivering L&D strategies and programmes.

Strong experience in leadership and talent development.

An interest in AI and how it is changing professional services and the skills people need.

Experience using technology, data or AI to improve L&D would be an advantage.

Experience managing and developing an L&D team.

Good commercial awareness and the ability to understand business needs and turn them into practical L&D solutions.

Strong communication and influencing skills.

The confidence to work with senior stakeholders and build trusted relationships.

Good project management skills and the ability to manage a number of priorities in a busy environment.

A strong focus on providing a good service to the business.

An executive coaching qualification would be desirable.
