ICON plc, a leading global contract research organisation, seeks a Senior Internal Auditor to join its global internal audit team in a hybrid office role in Leopardstown, Dublin 18. You will lead risk-based internal audits, manage SOX testing, and develop action plans with process owners.

The role offers international exposure, travel up to 15%, and a pathway to advance within ICON's governance and risk framework.

Competenze

• ACA, ACCA, CIA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong IT skills; experience using data analytics to support audit work is desirable.
• At least three years’ relevant internal or external audit experience.
• Strong report-writing skills, attention to detail and time management.
• Understanding of governance, risk management and internal controls, with SOX testing knowledge.

• Lead risk-based internal audit assignments across ICON's global divisions.
• Manage SOX testing and reporting requirements.
• Lead walkthroughs and risk assessments with process owners.
• Assess design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
• Prepare audit reports with root-cause analysis and action plans.
• Communicate significant risk and control issues to stakeholders.
• Track actions and validate remediation.
• Support Head of Internal Audit in preparing Audit Committee reports.
• Use data analytics to identify risk indicators and support testing.
• Assist with annual internal audit plan preparation.
• Mentor junior team members.
