Job summary

Solas IT Recruitment seeks a Senior UI Developer to lead the evolution of front-end platforms in a healthcare technology environment. You’ll blend React and TypeScript expertise with strong design sensibility and AI-driven development.

You’ll shape scalable UI architecture, champion best practices, and embed AI-enabled workflows into everyday engineering, while mentoring peers in a high-performance Agile team and driving secure, accessible interfaces.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering, with advanced expertise in React and TypeScript.
• Strong foundation in architecture, design principles, and clean code.
• Experience integrating REST APIs; API design is a plus.
• Experience with testing (Jest/Vitest) and React Testing Library.
• Proficient in CSS/SASS and CSS-in-JS (styled-components/emotion).
• Familiar with modern build tools (Vite), NPM, and modular component design.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of front-end applications using React and TypeScript.
• Modernise UI architecture to accelerate product delivery with quality.
• Collaborate with engineers, product leaders, and QA in an Agile team.
• Champion usability, accessibility, and clean design across interfaces.
• Define engineering standards, design principles, and front-end best practices.
• Build AI-assisted workflows to streamline development tasks and refactorings.
• Drive testing practices and CI/CD automation adoption.
• Mentor team members and grow full-stack capability within the team.
• Ensure secure development practices are embedded in solutions.
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and share knowledge across the organisation.
