Job summary

Solas IT Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Front End Developer to join a growing Product and Engineering team in Galway. You will apply React and TypeScript skills with a solid UX/UI and design-systems understanding to deliver production-ready front-end features.

In an Agile environment, you will translate concepts and wireframes into polished interfaces, build reusable components, and ensure accessibility and responsive design across web and mobile applications.

Qualifications

3+ years' experience in Front-End Development, UX Engineering, Product Design or a similar technical role.

Responsibilities

Design and build intuitive, user-centred experiences across web and mobile applications.
Work closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Software Engineers and stakeholders to translate user requirements into effective solutions.
Create user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, mock-ups and high-fidelity UI designs.
Build and maintain reusable front-end components.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and component libraries.
Ensure designs are accurately translated into production-ready applications.
Champion accessibility, usability, responsive design and inclusive design best practices.
Conduct user research and usability testing and use customer feedback to improve the user experience.
Use AI-assisted development and design tools to improve productivity and accelerate delivery.
Participate throughout the Agile software development lifecycle.
Contribute to continuous improvements across front-end engineering and UX practices.
