Job summary

Solas IT Recruitment is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver AI-enabled applications and business automation tools. The role emphasizes solving complex problems, architectural guidance, and clear communication, with hybrid Dublin work arrangement including two days on-site.

You will work across AI technologies, APIs, cloud services (Azure) and Power Platform to craft scalable, secure solutions while mentoring other developers and collaborating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years of commercial software development experience.
• Experience with Azure cloud and AI technologies.
• Ability to design scalable APIs and architectures.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain business-critical applications.
• Lead delivery from requirements through deployment and support.
• Design AI-enabled solutions, including RAG architectures.
• Build cloud-based solutions using Azure.
• Develop APIs and integrations between platforms.
• Deliver workflow automation with Power Platform and Power Automate.
• Ensure security, scalability and responsible AI practices.
• Mentor developers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
