Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with experience in external audit, internal audit, risk and controls, financial reporting or finance operations.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting controls, governance frameworks and assurance methodologies.
• Knowledge of IFRS, Solvency II, SOX or insurance and financial services reporting environments is desirable.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and influence at all levels.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, analyse data, solve problems and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assurance and controls testing across financial reporting processes, assessing the design and effectiveness of key controls and supporting a strong governance framework.
• Support month-end, year-end and financial reporting activities, ensuring financial information is accurate, complete and compliant with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and analyse financial and control reporting, identifying trends, risks and opportunities for improvement while providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships across Finance, Actuarial, Risk, Technology, Internal Audit and external audit teams, supporting audits, governance forums and business change initiatives.
• Contribute to process improvement, automation opportunities and control enhancements while supporting projects, regulatory developments and wider team objectives.
