Job summary

AstraZeneca in Dublin seeks a qualified accountant to own end-to-end Record to Report for designated EMEA entities. You will partner with finance, operations and our outsourced provider to deliver accurate, timely results and strong controls.

You will apply IFRS, US GAAP and local GAAP, support statutory audits, SOX controls, and drive continuous improvement in the close process in a fast-paced multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with ACCA/ACA/CPA/CIMA designation.
• Bachelor’s degree required; PQE 2+ years.
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience with SAP or ERP systems is desirable.
• Power BI, Blackline and MS Copilot are advantages.
• Multinational pharmaceutical experience is a plus.
• Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Record to Report for specified EMEA entities, including revenue and expense journal reviews.
• Liaise with outsourced provider to ensure accurate close activities.
• Collaborate with local and global finance teams on accounting treatments.
• Ensure US GAAP, IFRS and local GAAP compliance and balance sheet integrity.
• Support statutory audits and integrated audits with timely evidence.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and insights.
• Operate within the SOX control framework and support control activities.
• Drive continuous improvement to simplify the close process.
