Job summary

Johnson Controls in Dublin, Ireland, seeks a Senior Product Engineer to own the mechanical design and performance of air-cooled chiller components for the European market, working with minimal supervision and leading new product development programs.

You will mentor engineers, drive design changes, support manufacturing and sustaining activities, and collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to balance cost, performance, and reliability, while applying CE, PED, EN 378, and EN 14511

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
Minimum 4 years of mechanical design and project experience.
Strong understanding of fluid and thermal principles.
Working knowledge of European mechanical and refrigeration codes and standards (CE marking, PED, Machinery Directive, EN 378).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the team technically.

Responsibilities

Own the mechanical design and performance of air-cooled chiller components and systems for the European market.
Mentor less-experienced engineers and lead design changes.
Plan and execute test programs to validate performance and reliability of mechanical systems.
Coordinate with design and manufacturing teams to balance cost, performance, and reliability.
Define specifications and generate technical documentation for the product team.
