Job summary

Boston Scientific in Cork, Ireland seeks an experienced Equipment/Validation Engineer to sustain multiple automated production lines. You will generate documentation, develop code changes, and maintain device-standard documentation while ensuring timely, quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Degree in Automation/Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Software or related Engineering with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with automation systems and automated production equipment.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, GE Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Omron, Toshiba).
• Experience with HMI/SCADA programming and configuration.
• Hands-on experience with Robotics and Vision system applications is advantageous.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Generate documentation for the detailed specification, design, development and testing of new equipment and automated systems.
• Develop, test and install code changes to existing equipment under change control.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of code to medical device standards.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to quality standards.
• Analyse, fault-find and troubleshoot on complex automation equipment.
• Ensure validation activities comply with company policies and procedures.
