Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking a Maintenance Technician S2 on a permanent basis to join our team in Ireland. Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Engineer, you will provide electrical and mechanical maintenance support to maximise equipment asset performance while upholding high maintenance standards and GMP compliance.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, breakdown repair, root cause analysis, and collaboration with Value Streams to improve MTTR/MTBF.

Qualifications

• NFQ Level 6 Higher certificate in STEM, Automation Systems or Mechatronics.
• Experience in an FDA regulated industry and GMP requirements.
• Experience in a Cleanroom environment.
• Experience with a CMMS (preferably BMRAM).
• 3–5 years in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of OEE systems/software applications.
• Strong electrical and electronic repair and diagnostic skills.
• Strong mechanical systems problem solving and repair skills.
• Experience with high-speed automated manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with maintenance of Vision inspection systems.
• Experience with PLCs, Drives, HMIs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Planned Preventative Maintenance through CMMS (BMRAM).
• Carry out maintenance of production process equipment, including planned and unplanned tasks.
• Perform root cause analysis on breakdowns and implement corrective repairs.
• Support Line teams and systems to maximise equipment uptime.
• Aim to improve MTTR and MTBF metrics via data analysis.
• Identify and implement permanent solutions for recurring downtime; drive continuous improvement.
• Support 5S and Safety programs within Value Streams and Equipment Management.
• Contribute to Continuous Improvement in the Maintenance Department.
• Report work status to the Senior Maintenance Engineer and team leaders.
• Maintain records of hours worked, parts used, downtime etc. in BMRAM.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental procedures and GMP.
