Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer for our Cork team. You will lead manufacturing engineering for a high-volume, highly automated value stream with emphasis on reliability, safety and quality.

You will drive improvements, oversee qualification and validation activities, and mentor Manufacturing Engineers while partnering with Quality, Operations and Maintenance to ensure robust, compliant production.

Qualifications

• Hons Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related STEM field.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing engineering, automation or related environment.
• Experience coaching/leading engineers or technical professionals.
• Strong knowledge of automated manufacturing equipment and controls.
• Experience within a regulated quality system and problem-solving methods.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering leadership for highly automated lines operating near 24/7.
• Coach and develop Manufacturing Engineers and technical resources.
• Own engineering health and strategy for the value stream, understanding equipment and capacity.
• Lead equipment qualification, process validation and verification activities.
• Drive reliability, maintenance, and continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Process Development, Maintenance and other stakeholders.
• Serve as liaison between Quality and Engineering for CAPAs and risk management.
• Develop capacity models and forward-looking plans for equipment and capital need.
