Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting a Senior Engineer to join the Network Edge team, expanding manufacturing capacity for the DPS Orthopaedic franchise in Cork, Ireland. You will lead engineering deliverables and collaborate across sites to ensure cost-effective, high-quality production.

The role requires 5+ years in medical device manufacturing with Six Sigma expertise, strong communication, and cross-functional leadership. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Experienced knowledge of medical device manufacturing and validation.
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant professional work experience.
• Statistical and problem-solving engineering expertise (Six Sigma, SE or A3).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills & demonstrated ability to operate as part of a team.
• Track record of innovation and adaptability in project execution, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Proven competence to evaluate communicate and act upon significant risks, demonstrating leadership of the high standards of quality and compliance.
• Strong influencing skills - Excellent interpersonal skills (written and oral).
• Decision Making – Required to make decisions on technical and management issues.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of robust and fully developed and qualified orthopedic implant manufacturing processes to Network Edge projects.
• Ensure project activities comply with QMS procedures and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement efficient validation and regulatory strategies.
• Partner with Regulatory to handle filings, inspections, and registrations across sites and countries.
• Coordinate with internal/external partners to execute project plans.
• Provide technical leadership and support EHS&S policies and procedures.
• Support technical collaboration across functions.
• Lead effective communication and stakeholder management within project scope.
