Engage People Recruitment in Ireland is seeking a pricing and valuation specialist for its international energy trading business. You will work with trading and origination teams to price contracts, assess risk and understand value behind each deal in a hybrid Dublin/London setting.

The role requires strong energy market experience, plus solid skills in valuation, modelling and analytics (Excel, Python, SQL).

Qualifications

Strong energy market experience, with a background in trading, trading risk, pricing or structuring.
Commercial acumen - you understand what drives a deal's value, where the risks sit and how contract terms affect the outcome.
A solid grasp of valuation concepts and risk management.
Knowledge of power markets, ideally in Ireland and/or Great Britain.
Strong analytical skills, with experience using Excel, Python or SQL.
Clear communication and the confidence to explain your thinking to trading teams and senior stakeholders.

Responsabilités

Valuing and pricing energy contracts across renewable power, wind and solar balancing, and battery storage.
Assessing deal-level risk and how new opportunities fit into the wider trading portfolio.
Analysing power, gas and carbon markets to inform pricing and commercial decisions.
Building and improving valuation models, including cash flow modelling, scenario analysis and sensitivity testing.
Presenting pricing recommendations and explaining the key assumptions, risks and trade-offs.
