Job summary

Zircoe Recruitment is partnering with a leading engineering contractor to appoint a Senior Electrical Engineer based in Dublin or the Midlands. The role centers on technical leadership across M&E projects, with strong HV and substation experience.

You will coordinate with clients, consultants and multidisciplinary teams, review drawings and designs, manage HV installations, testing and commissioning, and ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance across Ireland.

Qualifications

• Degree or Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Significant experience as Electrical Engineer within the M&E / construction sector.
• Strong High Voltage (HV) experience.
• Experience with HV/MV switchgear, transformers, protection systems and electrical distribution.
• Experience in electrical testing, commissioning and energisation.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation standards and practices.
• Health & Safety requirements within construction.
• Experience managing electrical works on large-scale projects.
• Excellent communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Ireland.
• Experience working on Solar PV / Solar Farm projects.
• Experience working on Wind Farm projects.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

Zircoe Recruitment is partnering with a leading engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team, based in Dublin or the Midlands.

This is a senior technical role for an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in the M&E / construction sector, together with proven High Voltage (HV) and substation experience.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across electrical projects, coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to ensure electrical works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Experience across Solar PV, Wind Farms or other renewable energy projects would be highly desirable.

Electrical Engineering & Technical Leadership
