Job summary

Adecco Portugal is assisting a Dublin-based electrical engineering consultancy in recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer. The role covers renewables, grid connections, and energy infrastructure across wind, solar, BESS, and related grid works.

The successful candidate will contribute from early design through construction, supervise junior engineers, and help grow the business with strong client relationships. Hybrid working is offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years' electrical engineering experience.
• Experience with grid-scale renewable energy projects.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Chartered Engineer status is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on grid connections and electrical engineering.
• Review electrical designs and tender submissions.
• Develop preliminary electrical designs and technical specifications.
• Support projects through pre-construction and construction.
• Carry out site inspections and monitor electrical works.
• Work closely with project management, contractors and suppliers.
• Mentor and support junior engineers.
• Contribute to the continued growth of the business.

I'm excited to be recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer on behalf of a growing engineering consultancy specialising in renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure.

Based in Dublin 2, the company is going through an exciting period of growth, with a strong pipeline of projects across Ireland.

The Role

You’ll work across wind, solar PV, BESS and associated grid infrastructure, supporting projects from early-stage design and grid connection through to construction and delivery.
