Senior Associate Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a senior electrical engineer to play a key role in the delivery of complex building, industrial and renewable energy projects, providing technical leadership, influencing design direction and working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams across Ireland.
Provide senior‑level electrical engineering expertise within a multidisciplinary environment, support the delivery of complex building, industrial and renewable energy projects, lead the development of electrical design solutions, guide technical decision‑making and ensure compliance with regulations, standards and best practice.
Shape the technical quality and successful delivery of significant electrical work packages, build trusted client relationships, strengthen project outcomes, mentor early‑career engineers, and contribute to a culture of high standards, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Extensive experience in electrical design for buildings, including low and high‑voltage distribution, lighting, life safety systems, BMS integration and IT infrastructure, with advanced technical judgment and a strong understanding of Irish regulations, codes and standards.
Manage multiple projects from concept design through to project closeout, maintaining technical quality, programme adherence and cost control, including estimates, tender documentation, contractor reviews and site supervision where required.
Act as a mentor and technical guide to junior engineers, support professional development, maintain high standards across project outputs, and depending on office location, take on direct management responsibilities.
Work confidently with clients, architects and project managers, acting as a key point of contact on technical and commercial matters, explain design decisions clearly, manage expectations and support trust‑based relationships.
Support business development, bid preparation and strategic forecasting, identify new opportunities and contribute to commercial and contractual decision‑making to support wider business growth.

Based in any of the organisation’s Irish offices in Dublin, Cork or Galway. Hybrid working model combining two to three days per week in the office with remote working where appropriate. Occasional travel to client sites or other office locations may be required.
