Job summary

Elgin Energy, based in Dublin, is seeking a Senior Development Manager to drive utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects from early-stage origination through consenting and ready-to-build. You will oversee land, planning, grid, and commercial workstreams, manage budgets and milestones, and mentor the development team while maintaining senior oversight into construction.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in renewable energy project development.
Proven track record leading solar/BESS projects through planning and grid connection.
Strong commercial acumen and contract negotiation experience.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end development of utility-scale solar and BESS projects.
Lead land acquisition, planning, grid connection, and ready-to-build milestones.
Direct external consultants across planning, environmental, grid, and legal workstreams.
Manage project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and risk reporting.
Mentor Development Managers and influence strategic decisions.
