Job summary

Elgin is seeking a Senior Development Manager to lead the development of utility-scale solar PV and storage projects in Ireland. You will own from site origination through consenting, investment readiness and ready-to-build, coordinating land, planning, grid, and commercial workstreams.

You will manage budgets, timelines, due diligence, and key contracts while mentoring the development team and representing Elgin with stakeholders and industry forums.

Qualifications

• Experience leading utility-scale solar and storage projects through planning and grid connection.
• Strong commercial acumen with budgets, financial modelling and contracts.
• Excellent stakeholder management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end project development from land, planning to ready-to-build.
• Lead land rights negotiations and commercial terms.
• Direct external consultants across planning, environmental, grid, engineering and legal.
• Oversee budgets, milestones, due diligence, and contracts.
• Engage with authorities, communities and network operators for approvals.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the development team.
• Develop and maintain project budgets and cash flow forecasts.
• Identify development risks and mitigation strategies.
