Job summary

Elgin Energy is seeking a Project Engineer to support delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects across the UK and Ireland. You will embed with the project team, providing engineering input from development through construction, coordinating with EPCs and consultants to drive buildability and risk management.

The role requires a degree in engineering, 3 years’ PV solar/BESS experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD and PVsyst.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 3+ years of experience in large-scale PV solar farm and BESS projects.
• Knowledge of PV development, construction, and grid connections.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering input across development, planning and construction.
• Conduct feasibility and constructability reviews and support planning applications.
• Manage design reviews and liaise with Owner’s Engineer, EPCs and contractors.
• Coordinate with planning consultants and environmental specialists.
• Develop and maintain site constraints, risk registers and design status.
• Support tendering with geotechnical, structural, yield assessments and layouts.
