Job summary

Optum, a global health services company, seeks a Senior Data Analyst to enable next-generation analytics and AI-driven solutions across Optum Health. You will design and operationalize data products powering advanced analytics, machine learning, generative AI, and agentic AI use cases using Snowflake and Snowflake Cortex.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering, CS, Data Analytics or a related field.
• Experience with BI/analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau and delivering dashboards and AI-enabled solutions.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying, transformation and optimization.
• Understanding of data modeling, data quality, and feature engineering concepts.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake.
• Experience with data integration tools.
• Strong communication to convey data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in team environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to deliver analytics that support risk adjustment, quality performance and financial outcomes.
• Design data models to connect data across domains for customer targeting analytics.
• Support development and operationalization of AI solutions, intelligent assistants and recommendation engines.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends and actionable insights for decision-making.
• Ensure data accuracy and relevance by collaborating with data scientists and cross-functional teams.
• Translate complex data into usable formats for analysis and business insights.
• Perform exploratory and advanced analytics to uncover opportunities and predictive insights.
• Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to evaluate model outputs and adoption.
