Job summary

Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Senior Analytics Engineer to turn complex data into actionable insights. You will shape analytics at the early product lifecycle, building notebooks, visualisations and reusable assets in the Databricks environment.

You will work with business stakeholders, data teams and engineers to translate ambiguous needs into evidence-based recommendations, leveraging SQL, Python and modern analytics tooling in a hybrid Ireland-based setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant technical field.
• Proven extensive experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or Data Analysis.
• Strong SQL with complex joins, window functions and optimization.
• Proficiency with Python notebooks in analytic contexts.

Responsibilities

• Explore large, disparate datasets to identify trends and opportunities.
• Profile, validate, and ensure data quality for analytics.
• Transform data and build reusable analytic assets in Databricks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into analytical work.
