Job summary

Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the Analytics Engineering team in Ireland. You will guide cross-functional teams, shape architecture, and deliver scalable AI-enabled analytics platforms to support healthcare insights.

You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product teams, leveraging AI tooling and cloud platforms to drive secure, high-quality software across hybrid work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience in software development.
• Experience with Spark, PySpark, and Databricks.
• Experience on at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical lead directing development teams.
• Lead end-to-end software engineering activities from analysis to deployment.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI-powered software solutions.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and use GitHub Actions.
• Produce technical documentation and provide production support.
