Job summary

European Tech Recruit is seeking an embedded software engineer with a strong focus on device driver development at the hardware/software interface. The role involves developing and supporting low-level drivers for hardware control, collaborating with hardware designers, and writing C code with Python tooling for automation.

The ideal candidate has 1–5 years in embedded software and experience with Bootloader, RTOS, or Zephyr.

Job description

Our client is a global leader in wireless semiconductor technology, best known for the mobile SoC platforms that power flagship smartphones worldwide and for pioneering work across 5G and next-generation connectivity standards. Their SoC Infrastructure team is looking for an embedded software engineer with a strong focus on device driver development at the hardware/software interface.

What you will be doing

• Developing and supporting low-level device drivers that directly control hardware, including digital clocks, voltage regulators, GPIOs and interrupts
• Working closely with hardware designers to understand, improve and implement hardware/software interfaces on high-volume mobile SoC platforms
• Operating comfortably across both hardware and software domains
• Writing software primarily in C, running on a range of ARM and DSP based processors
• Building additional automation and tooling in Python

What you will need

• 1 to 5 years of experience in embedded software development
• Experience in Bootloader, RTOS and/or Zephyr

Nice to have

• Experience with Lauterbach Trace32/JTAG debugging
• ARM and/or RISC-V architecture knowledge
• Power management software experience
