Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 12+ years of professional firmware or low-level system software experience.
• Proven technical leadership across embedded or platform-software programs.
• Deep experience with SoC bring-up and hardware/software integration.
• Strong system-level debugging and root-cause-analysis skills.
• Experience architecting firmware for cloud-scale or hyperscale data-centre platforms.
• Familiarity with platform-management ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of firmware and low-level system software across SoC, board, and platform levels.
• Define and own end-to-end firmware strategy covering boot, reset, debug, security, power management, RAS, IPC, and platform services.
• Drive SoC and platform bring-up across multiple product generations and at large deployment scale.
• Lead hardware/software integration and system-level validation activities.
• Define firmware architectures optimised for scalability, reliability, performance, and large-scale cloud deployment.
• Act as a technical authority and decision-maker across multiple firmware domains.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to senior and experienced engineers.
• Establish coding, architecture, design, and quality standards across firmware teams.
• Lead cross-functional design reviews and technical decision-making.

We are currently partnered with a global technology organisation developing next-generation AI, compute, and cloud-scale data centre platforms.As part of their continued investment in high-performance AI infrastructure, they are looking to appoint a Senior Staff Embedded Software Engineer to provide technical leadership across low-level firmware and platform software powering advanced AI accelerator and compute systems.

This is a highly technical leadership role spanning SoC bring-up, platform architecture, performance optimisation, reliability engineering, system integration, and hyperscale deployment. The successful candidate will combine deep hands-on firmware expertise with the ability to influence architecture, lead complex cross-functional initiatives, mentor senior engineers, and establish technical direction across multiple firmware domains.

• Experience architecting firmware for cloud-scale or hyperscale data-center platforms
• Strong familiarity with platform-management ecosystems
