Job summary

MMD Construction are seeking an experienced and ambitious Project Manager to join our Cork team. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will ensure successful project completion within budget, timeline and safety/quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in a similar role, a third-level construction qualification, and proven ability to advise clients and design teams on value, risks and programme. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Third Level Qualification in Construction Discipline.
• Background in engineering is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage scope, budget, timeline, safety and quality across projects.
• Coordinate and monitor construction drawings, specifications and work requirements.
• Allocate and manage resources to ensure availability when needed.
• Determine equipment, materials and manpower required for projects.
• Manage quality control and project documentation throughout lifecycle.
• Ensure material and equipment are ordered and delivered on schedule.
• Prepare reports using Project Management Software.
• Update project programme with senior management to hit milestones.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Legislation and BC(A)R.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects and key team members.
