Job summary

Design Build Search are working with a leading developer in Dublin. They have an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to oversee the day to day running of the site, closely with the Construction Director to ensure delivery to the highest standards, emphasising safety, sustainability and quality.

Projects include houses and apartments. The candidate will lead design management, supervise construction, attend client meetings, report progress and mentor junior engineers while ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in Construction Management including project management.
• Previous experience on residential projects.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to read, understand and create contractual requirements and reports.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with all levels of personnel.
• Leadership skills with mentoring experience of junior teams.
• Understanding BIM and digital construction technologies.
• Highly proficient IT skills and ability to demonstrate innovation.
• Excellent organisation and time management with multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a Design Task Leader or Project Manager on live jobs.
• Managing the design process and supervising construction to specifications.
• Attending meetings with clients and stakeholders.
• Line management of engineers and project staff.
• Coaching and mentoring junior staff toward Chartered status.
• Developing proposals for new commissions.

The successful applicant will oversee the day to day running of the site. Within this position you will work closely with the Construction Director to ensure their projects are delivered highest standard, emphasising safety, sustainability and quality.

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline or an equivalent technical degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in Construction Management including previous project management experience
• Previous experience on residential projects
• Self-motivated with strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to read, understand and create contractual requirements, scope objectives and report effectively.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
