Job summary

Northern Trust seeks a Senior Consultant, Compliance to support the Head of Compliance in Ireland. The role covers risk assessment, monitoring, regulatory change, policies, governance reporting and engagement with regulators.

It operates as a trusted partner to senior management and the wider compliance team. You will deputise for the Head of Compliance at governance forums, contribute to reporting, and drive the Compliance Risk Assessment framework across Ireland entities while coordinating

Qualifications

• Compliance monitoring, Audit, Risk or Control experience and/or advisory support would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Ireland/EU regulations relating to fund services would be an advantage.
• Capable of making decisions, applies sound judgement and knows how/when to escape.
• Able to meet strict reporting deadlines while balancing priorities.
• Influencing and conflict resolution skills.
• Proven learning agility; ability to support others.
• Strong motivation, self-starter and team player.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Senior support to the Head of Compliance; embed a comprehensive compliance framework for Ireland entities.
• Deputise for the Head of Compliance at governance forums and risk committees.
• Provide senior compliance advice and guidance to stakeholders on obligations and risks.
• Prepare concise management information for executives and boards.
• Drive the Compliance Risk Assessment framework and coordinate reporting across forums.
• Assist with Annual Compliance Assurance/Monitoring programmes and ensure high-quality reporting.
• Support regulatory engagement and prepare materials for meetings and examinations.
• Develop relationships with key internal stakeholders and maintain knowledge of operations and risks.
