Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a Compliance Policy and Governance Consultant to support enhancements to policy and governance programs. The role focuses on project management for implementing processes related to policy development and committee governance, reporting to the Compliance Governance and Policy Manager.

You will collaborate with the Compliance Department to deploy new GRC tools, build a centralized governance repository, and ensure timely delivery of policy updates while pro-actively

Qualifications

• Proven experience in risk management, compliance, or audit.
• Understanding of regulatory, compliance and risk related matters.
• Governance and policy execution or remediation strategy experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong stakeholder relationships.
• Initiative with ability to handle complex problems and escalate when needed.
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Work with Compliance to implement new governance tools.
• Develop and facilitate centralized governance repository.
• Manage deliverables with proactive, end-to-end ownership.
• Project manage policy updates and remove roadblocks.
• Help shape best practices and strengthen compliance capabilities.
